A pacifier cord: why?

In the world of baby stuff you see so much passing by, that we can imagine that you don't immediately see the use of everything. To be honest? That use is not there in all cases. Fortunately, it is with everything we sell ;)

Take a pacifier cord. The name says it all, it is a cord for a pacifier. You can also find them under the name pacifier chain or pacifier clip. As different as all types of pacifiers are, so are the pacifier cords. Our pacifier cords fit perfectly with our Chewies, but also with the beautiful Bibs and Frigg pacifiers . It will probably come as no surprise that we also have both brands of pacifiers in our range, for a stylish, responsible and complete set for your own little one or as a super fun maternity gift!

The first goal of a pacifier clip is always the same; to make sure your little one doesn't lose their pacifier. The last thing you want is for your pacifier fan to drop their pacifier on the floor and then have to clean it up first. You'll just see that you're in a place where that's not possible. If you have a little one who doesn't want a pacifier at all (really, they exist!), you can also use a pacifier clip to make sure their favorite toy doesn't get lost or fall on the dirty floor! You'll have a nice clip like this, and your little one can continue playing undisturbed while on the go.

How do you use a pacifier cord?

A pacifier cord has a loop on one end and a clip on the other. You attach the pacifier by putting the loop through the ring or opening of the pacifier and then pulling the pacifier cord all the way through. You then attach the clip to your little one's clothing.

Are pacifier cords safe?

All our pacifier clips have been extensively tested and certified to EN 12586:2007, the European standard for pacifier clips, and are handmade by ourselves, piece by piece, in the Netherlands. With the FSC quality mark, you can be sure that our wood comes from a responsibly managed European forest. Our leather meets the highest European requirements and is hypoallergenic. All Clips are made and tested to the EN 12586:2007 standard and are therefore fully certified.
This does not mean that pacifier cords are not toys and should not be used as such. Never use them without supervision, not even in bed and do not extend them yourself.

Always make sure that a pacifier cord excluding the clip is not longer than 22 cm. Anything above that poses a choking hazard!

As with all Chewies, we recommend checking the pacifier clips for damage before each use and never leaving your little one unattended with them.

What types are there?

The possibilities seem endless! Usually a pacifier cord consists of a cord (you wouldn't expect it) with beads on it, or a leather or fabric strip. Our range is very diverse, we have all kinds of clips with silicone beads in the most beautiful colors, also in combination with wooden or silicone letter beads to add the name or initials of your baby. Two colors of our leather pacifier cord can also be engraved with the name and/or a symbol! How nice is it to always have the name of your little one visible when you are on the go?
